The PIR1 is designed to work with any Consort Claudgen heater up to
3 kW, offering the added benefit of potential energy savings and improved comfort. Once activated from up to 5 metres the controller allows the heater to increase the room temperature to its designated comfort setting of between 19°C to 25°C. If no movement is detected by a predetermined time of between 30 minutes to 3 hours the heater is either switched off or the temperature can be held at a lower background level of between 6°C - 17°C.

The class 2 device is capable of switching resistive loads of 13 amps and can be used in conjunction with the Consort Claudgen electronic QSC1 'Quartz Softstart' which is capable of switching resistive loads of 6 kW.
